Russia

One person was killed and at least four others were injured on the morning of September 7, 2026, after a drone struck a multi-story residential building in the Zakamsk district of Perm, Russia.

Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed the casualties and said emergency services were working at the site. Two sections of the apartment block suffered significant damage, with windows shattered and structural harm visible on multiple floors. A temporary accommodation center was opened for displaced residents, and investigators have begun examining the scene.

The incident occurred amid a larger overnight wave of drone attacks. Russian authorities reported intercepting dozens of drones over the Perm region and hundreds more across other areas. Unconfirmed reports from monitoring channels also pointed to possible impacts near industrial facilities in the city, though official details on secondary targets remain limited.

Local health officials said one of the injured is in critical condition. Repair work on the damaged building is expected to begin shortly.
