4 killed in Russian air strikes on Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine

Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region reported four fatalities and six injuries after Russian air strikes hit warehouses and an industrial enterprise in Dnipro overnight on 21–22 September 2026, according to regional authorities and Ukraine’s emergency service.

In the early hours of 22 September, Russian forces launched a combined missile and drone attack targeting industrial and storage facilities in Dnipro, with simultaneous strikes also recorded in Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad in the same region.

The heaviest consequences were in Dnipro, where blasts ignited large fires in warehouse buildings and damaged a production enterprise, prompting search-and-rescue operations and debris clearance.

Regional governor Oleksandr Ganzha and the State Emergency Service (SES) in Dnipropetrovsk confirmed the final toll of four dead and six injured, including one 25‑year‑old man hospitalized in serious condition.

Two of the victims were recovered from under rubble after rescue teams completed search operations at the struck enterprise.

Ukraine’s air defence reported intercepting or suppressing dozens of aerial targets nationwide during the same night, including cruise missiles and attack drones, with Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Poltava regions among the main directions of impact. Alongside the Dnipro strikes, Russian attacks also damaged residential buildings in Kyiv and caused additional casualties in other regions, but the Dnipro industrial/storage hits produced the highest death toll in this wave.
