3 russians killed in attack on humanitarian convoy in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine

Three civilians from the town of Tara in Russia’s Omsk Oblast were killed and at least one other person was wounded when a humanitarian convoy was attacked in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Omsk Governor Vitaly Khotsenko.

In a statement posted on his official Telegram channel on September 25, 2026, Khotsenko said the convoy had been traveling from the Omsk region to the zone of the special military operation (SVO). The attack took place on the territory of Zaporizhzhia. He described it as a “vile attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” expressed condolences to the families of the deceased, and ordered the head of the Tara district and a deputy governor to provide necessary assistance to the relatives.

Local Russian officials later specified that the incident occurred near the village of Novobogdanovka in the Melitopol municipal district. Zaporizhzhia regional head Yevgeny Balitsky confirmed the three deaths and reported that the number of wounded had risen to two.
