4 family members killed as RSF drones hit residential areas in Sudan
Local sources report that drones operated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) struck residential neighborhoods in the city of Damazin, capital of Blue Nile State, overnight, killing four members of a single family. All four victims were women, according to social media reports circulating about the incident.
In a separate attack the previous night, the same sources said an RSF drone targeted the home of the Blue Nile regionโs finance minister in Damazin. The minister survived the strike, military sources told Sudan War Updates.
The incidents form part of the ongoing conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF paramilitary group. Damazin has seen repeated reports of drone activity and civilian casualties in recent fighting.
Details remain limited, and independent verification of the claims was not immediately available.
