2 people killed in Russian attack on Kirovohrad oblast in Ukraine
Ukraineโs State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported that a Russian strike on the Oleksandriia district of Kirovohrad Oblast killed two people and injured three others. Contact has been lost with one additional person, and search operations are ongoing.
The attack caused destruction and fires at three locations in the district. One industrial facility was damaged, sparking a fire covering approximately 2,000 square meters. Fires were also recorded at the other two sites.
Emergency responders continue work to extinguish the blazes and clear the aftermath of the strike.
This incident forms part of broader Russian attacks reported across several Ukrainian regions on the same day, including strikes affecting Kyiv and Chernihiv Oblast (notably Pryluky), which have caused further civilian casualties and prompted large-scale rescue efforts.
