1 cop killed as gunmen attack a patrolling police van in Karak, Pakistan

Unknown armed assailants attacked a police mobile van on routine patrol in the Shakai Dam area of Karak last night, resulting in the death of one police officer and injuries to another.

According to police, the incident prompted an immediate search-and-strike operation in the area. Additional personnel have been deployed at various locations, and the movement of suspicious individuals is under close surveillance.

The injured officer was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment and is currently receiving care.

Police officials stated that all possible measures will be taken to bring the perpetrators to justice and that the suspects will be arrested soon.
