Police captain killed during a combat mission in Donetsk, Ukraine

On September 5, 2026, 32-year-old Police Captain Maxim Vivirovsky was killed while carrying out a combat mission in Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
Vivirovsky served as an inspector in the rifle unit of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kirovohrad region. The National Police of Ukraine announced his death on September 7, describing him as having fallen “in the fight for Ukraine.”
The official statement paid tribute to the officer with the words: “Eternal memory to the Hero. Forever in the ranks…” A memorial portrait of Vivirovsky in uniform was released alongside the announcement.
