2 Hamas terrorists killed as Israeli forces strike Gaza targets, Palestine

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Friday that it had eliminated two members of Hamas’ military wing in separate strikes in the Gaza Strip.

According to an official statement posted by the IDF on X, Jabr Moqbel, described as a terrorist in Hamas’ military wing, was killed in the Deir al-Balah area. The IDF said Moqbel led the “Moqbel” money exchange network, which transferred millions of shekels in foreign currency to Hamas.

In a separate strike in the Khan Yunis area, the IDF said it eliminated Hasan al-Batta, identified as a sniper operative in Hamas’ military wing.

The military stated that both individuals had advanced attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and worked to restore Hamas’ capabilities, actions it described as a systematic violation of the ceasefire. The strikes were carried out “in order to remove the threat they posed,” the IDF said.

The announcement comes amid ongoing tensions and reported violations related to the ceasefire in Gaza. Independent confirmation of the individuals’ roles and the circumstances of the strikes was not immediately available.
