2 men executed by gunmen during a home invasion in Galeana, Mexico
Two men were shot dead in the early hours of September 30, 2026, after armed attackers forced their way into a residence along Highway 57 in Ejido San Roberto, in the municipality of Galeana in southern Nuevo Le贸n.
Authorities were alerted around 3:00 a.m. to reports of gunfire. Upon arriving at the house located beside the highway at kilometer 132, officers found two unconscious men. Paramedics confirmed both were dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
One victim was identified as Heriberto Padr贸n Mendoza, approximately 40 to 50 years old. The second victim, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, remained unidentified. He was wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt and was barefoot.
Agents from the State Investigation Agency, along with personnel from the Institute of Criminalistics and Forensic Services of the Nuevo Le贸n Attorney General鈥檚 Office, took charge of the investigation. After the crime scene examination, the bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service for autopsy.
