1 killed as gunmen attack a family inside their home in Guatemala

An armed attack in Guatemala City’s Zone 18 claimed the life of one man and left three people wounded. The incident occurred in the Las Pascuas neighborhood, in front of a Catholic church.

Volunteer firefighters from the 50th and 4th companies responded to the scene. Rescuers found the man without vital signs at the location. The three injured—two minors and a 51-year-old woman—were taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital.

National Civil Police secured the perimeter while awaiting the Public Ministry for investigations and forensic examination. Traffic in the area remains closed due to the cordoning of the crime scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
