4 killed after armed gunmen opened fire inside a local barbershop in Ecuador

An armed assault targeted a barbershop in the Tres Postes area of Yaguachi canton, Guayas province, on the afternoon of Saturday, October 3, 2026, killing four people and wounding two others.

The shooting took place between approximately 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. local time while a large number of people were inside the establishment, located on a main street in the rural community.
