Factory worker killed after Russian drone hits facility in Sumy, Ukraine
On the morning of October 4, 2026, Russian forces launched a drone attack on an enterprise in the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy, northeastern Ukraine.
According to Serhii Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, the strike caused a fire at the facility. A 52-year-old worker was killed, and three other employees were wounded.
The attack is part of ongoing Russian assaults on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. The same morning, Russian forces also struck the northern bridge in Kyiv and damaged a heating main, leaving parts of the Desnianskyi district without hot water.
