3 killed in Russian strike on store in Kyiv’s Solomyanskyi district, Ukraine

Three people died and two others were injured after a Russian strike hit a store building in Kyiv’s Solomyanskyi district, Ukraine’s National Police reported on 8 October 2026.

The victims include a 36-year-old woman and two men aged 43 and 55. Police said they are working at the sites of the strikes and documenting the consequences of what they described as a war crime by the Russian Federation.

Damage from the attack was also recorded in the Desnyanskyi, Svyatoshynskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of the capital. Residential buildings, cars, garage boxes and other civilian infrastructure were damaged across the city.

As of the time of the police update, four people were confirmed dead as a result of the latest Russian attack on Kyiv.
