7 killed as joint forces bust an active terrorist cell in Saravan, Iran

According to a statement from the Public Relations of the Quds Base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Force, a professional terrorist team planning an attack in Saravan (Sistan and Baluchestan province) was identified following a public tip-off and precise intelligence work.

In a joint operation involving IRGC forces, the Intelligence Department, and police (Faraja) at dawn, four members of the group—described by Iranian authorities as “homeland-selling terrorists”—were killed. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from their hideout.

The operation continued until midday. Three IRGC personnel (referred to as “anonymous guardians of Imam Zaman”) were also killed in the clashes.

Iranian officials claimed that the United States and Israel, after military setbacks, had directed terrorist groups to create insecurity in Sistan and Baluchestan to mask their failures. The Quds Base reiterated that the security of the province’s people is a red line and that such groups remain under intelligence surveillance, with further action possible. The number of militants killed may still rise.
