Basij commander shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Paroud, Iran

Abdolraouf Eshaghi, commander of the Shahid Fadaei Parood Basij resistance base in Rask County (Sistan and Baluchestan province), was killed in a shooting by unidentified gunmen in the city of Parood.

The incident occurred on September 8, 2026 (17 Shahrivar 1405 in the Iranian calendar). Eshaghi, a local Basij volunteer, was shot and died in the attack; Iranian media described him as having attained “martyrdom” while serving to protect public security.
