3 narco-terrorists killed as US military blasts a drug vessel, Venezuela

U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced that on September 9, Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean.

According to the official statement from @Southcom, intelligence confirmed the vessel was actively involved in drug trafficking. The operation resulted in the deaths of three individuals described as “narco-terrorists.”

The strike was conducted under SOUTHCOM’s direction. The command oversees U.S. military activities in Latin America and the Caribbean. SOUTHCOM tagged the Department of War and the Secretary of War in its announcement and released video footage of the operation.

This action forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt transnational criminal organizations moving illegal narcotics through the region.
