12 killed during a violent clash between farmers and herders in Chad
A conflict between farmers and herders broke out on the morning of 18-19 October 2026 along the border of Chad's Salamat and Sila provinces, in the Mouray sub-prefecture area of Bahr-Azoum department. Security sources on the ground report a provisional toll of 12 dead and 3 seriously injured.
The violence stemmed from a disagreement over the demarcation of a transhumance corridor.
