Armed attack in Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa kills man at scene in Guatemala

A 26-year-old man was killed in an armed attack in Aldea Miriam No. 2, located in the jurisdiction of Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla, according to the Volunteer Fire Department. The incident was reported on October 25, 2026, when personnel from the 18th Company were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, first responders located the victim, who presented multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities confirmed that the man had already died at the location, and the competent authorities were notified to process the scene.
