Two brothers killed during targeted attack in barbershop shooting in Brazil

Two brothers were shot dead inside a barbershop in the Xavantes neighborhood of Belford Roxo, in Brazil's Baixada Fluminense region, on Saturday afternoon (24 October 2026).

According to family members, at least 16 shots were fired at the victims. Kayo Lima Souza, 25, worked as a barber at the establishment, while Davi Lima da Silva, 18, was having his hair cut when the attackers arrived.

Security camera footage showed two men arriving on a motorcycle shortly after 5:30 pm and entering the shop before multiple shots were fired, sending passersby running in fear. Relatives said they do not know what motivated the crime.

The Baixada Fluminense Homicide Division (DHBF) is investigating the case. The brothers are to be buried on Monday (26 October) at the Belford Roxo Cemetery.
