2 men killed in Ukrainian drone attack on Voronezh region in Russia

Two people were killed and 17 others injured after a large-scale drone attack struck the Voronezh region overnight and early morning, according to regional Governor Alexander Gusev.

Russian air defense forces detected and destroyed 113 unmanned aerial vehicles over the Voronezh agglomeration and nearby districts, with more than 70 drones shot down directly over the city of Voronezh.

The two fatalities were men born in 1960 and 1973. Among the 17 injured is one child, and two people are in serious condition.

A significant portion of the casualties occurred when drone debris fell on a train traveling through a left-bank suburb of Voronezh.

Fires also broke out at several industrial facilities, a business center in the city's central district, a multi-story apartment building, two dacha settlements, a school stadium, and a garage cooperative.

Damage to building facades and windows was recorded across nearly all city districts. Emergency services are working at the affected sites.
