Pakistan army major martyred in IED blast during Gwadar operation

A Pakistan Army officer was martyred in a roadside bomb blast during a clearance operation in Pasni, Gwadar district, Balochistan, the military's media wing confirmed. Major Wajahat Waheed, a resident of Lahore, was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated during Operation Radd-ul-Fitan-III, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The incident was reported on 19 October 2026. Sanitisation operations were continuing in the area at the time of reporting, as security forces swept the site following the blast.
