Lahore shooting leaves 2 people dead in domestic dispute in Pakistan

A shooting stemming from a domestic dispute in Lahore’s Satu Katla area has left two people dead, police said on Sunday. The suspect, identified as Mirza Ali Yar, scaled a wall to forcibly enter his in-laws’ home on PIA Road before opening fire indiscriminately.

The deceased were identified as 63-year-old Sami, who died at the scene, and 85-year-old Kalsum, who succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. The suspect’s wife, Khalida, remains in intensive care, while his sister-in-law, Rameeza, is also receiving medical treatment.

Police said a long-standing dispute existed between the suspect and his wife, who had previously filed a case against him . The suspect fled the scene after the attack. Forensic teams collected evidence, and a police team has been formed to pursue his arrest .
