Pakistan Gwadar counterterrorism operations end with 8 terrorists killed

Pakistan's security forces have concluded counterterrorism operations in Gwadar, Balochistan, confirming that eight terrorist combatants were killed, including one female fighter. The operations successfully repelled coordinated attacks claimed by the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), which the state refers to as Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH).

The militants attempted simultaneous assaults on three locations in Gwadar. Security forces secured the area and are continuing clearance operations in surrounding districts to apprehend facilitators. The BLF had claimed responsibility for the attacks, alleging strikes on military and police installations, though official statements confirmed the assaults were repulsed.

Gwadar, a strategic port city central to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, has faced repeated security challenges. Authorities have not reported any security force casualties in the latest operations.
