Houthi airstrike kills over 20 soldiers at Shabwa military camp in Yemen
More than 20 government soldiers were killed and around 130 others wounded when Houthi forces fired three ballistic missiles at the Al-Alam training camp in Jardan district, Shabwa province, southeastern Yemen, a military source said on Monday.
The source put the total number of dead and injured at about 150 military personnel, with the remainder suffering varying degrees of injury. The wounded were transferred to hospitals across the province for treatment.
Hospitals in the city of Ataq, the provincial capital, issued urgent appeals for blood donations amid growing medical needs. A medical alert was declared across Shabwa's hospitals to receive the casualties. No further details were available on the extent of damage to the camp.
