One person killed in Russian missile strike on Ukraine's capital

Russian forces launched ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv overnight, killing one person and injuring 22 others, including seven children, according to the National Police of Ukraine.

The strikes hit private residential buildings in the Dniprovskyi district, where a 48-year-old man was killed and six people were injured, including four childrenโ€”the youngest just 5 years old. In the Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, and Pecherskyi districts, 16 more people were injured, among them three 15-year-old girls.

The attacks also damaged private and multi-apartment residential buildings, an ambulance station, a monastery, a hypermarket, office premises, a restaurant, a car service station, a university, and vehicles. Investigative teams, police explosives experts, and other specialized services are working at the impact sites.
