Russian strikes on four Kharkiv districts kill 2 people in Ukraine

Ukrainian police have documented the consequences of Russian strikes on four districts of Kharkiv, confirming that 2 people were killed and 22 others were injured.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, Russian forces struck the Osnovianskyi, Industrialnyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts of the city on the morning of 16 October 2026.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a woman and a man were killed, while 19 people sustained bodily injuries and acute stress reactions.

Vehicles were damaged and fires broke out at the impact sites. In the Nemyshlianskyi district, a civilian enterprise was damaged and three people suffered acute stress reactions.

Emergency services are working at the scenes, and investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
