Russian drone strike on Ukraine farm kills one worker in Sumy region
A Russian drone strike on a cattle-breeding farm in Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region killed a 31-year-old female employee on Saturday, according to local authorities. The attack occurred in the Konotop district, targeting a civilian agricultural enterprise.
Emergency services recovered the woman's body from the rubble of a destroyed structure at the site. The victim was reportedly just days away from her 32nd birthday. Four other individuals were injured in the strike, with two requiring hospitalization; their injuries were preliminarily assessed as non-critical.
The regional governor stated that the farm was a civilian facility engaged in livestock operations. In addition to the human casualty, animals at the enterprise were also killed and wounded during the attack. Rescue teams and veterinary services were deployed to manage the aftermath and contain damage at the site.
