Russian drone strikes kill woman in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region

Ukrainian police report that overnight Russian drone strikes on residential areas of Zaporizhzhia killed a 27-year-old woman and injured several others, including a 6-year-old girl and a 58-year-old woman. The attacks, carried out by two combat drones, also damaged civilian infrastructure across the regional center.

In the city's Kosmichnyi district, an FPV drone struck a civilian vehicle, wounding a 60-year-old man. Separately, an 80-year-old woman sought medical assistance following an earlier missile attack on the city. Police documented 341 reports of destruction and damage across Zaporizhzhia and the wider region, where Russian forces shelled numerous settlements over the past day.

Law enforcement officers, working alongside the Security Service of Ukraine, are documenting the consequences of what authorities classify as Russian war crimes. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code. Police also evacuated two residents from Kushuhum and Komyshuvakha during the past day.
